Extension cord was created by Shapirates
This is my first bash, I'm very excited. I was wondering about the 150 foot extension cords they are suggesting we use. I have a 25 foot, but not sure how much a 150 should cost they seem pricy for a one time use. Most places we go we would never need it again. Any suggestions
We have a pup up and are at site H14-3

From space, it looks as if section H has 4 utility poles. Campsites are 24 x 30. Unless you are next to a pole, you will need more cord. The good news is that there is a Walmart nearby. If you need more, grab another 25 and hook them together.

To reach the center of J14-1, I use 50-75 feet.

I would suggest wait until you get there to see exactly what you need. Like pburgzoo said there is a Walmart near by and you can always go and get more. There are several times where I have gone there to get more water hose, or sewer hose to get the length needed to get to my rig. I have had site where 25' was long enough and I have had sites where I needed 100' in the past.

Are there problems with not enough electricity for one to run on 30 amp?

No problems. The closer you get to the turnpike the greater the odds you will need a 30->15 amp adapter.

Check your local Walmart or camping store for something like this:

I got a 100' extension at Walmart for about $15 last week. I think it was a 16g. The larger gauge ones were about twice as much.
